Your mission as a Data Scientist – NLP & LLMs

As a Data Scientist, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, helping our clients extract meaningful insights from complex document repositories. You’ll work within one of our engineering teams to design and implement intelligent solutions using cutting-edge NLP techniques and Large Language Models (LLMs). Your work will directly impact domains such as Legal and Financial document management, enabling smarter decision-making and automation.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and domain experts to bring AI-powered features to life. From experimentation to deployment, you’ll have the freedom to shape your approach and contribute to our evolving AI strategy.

What you will do:

• Develop and fine-tune NLP models and LLM-based pipelines for document understanding.

• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic Modeling techniques.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI solutions into production systems.

• Conduct research and experimentation with open-source and proprietary LLMs.

• Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance in a real-world application.

• Translate business needs into data-driven solutions with measurable impact.

Your profile:

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in ML and NLP, with hands-on work on LLMs and RAG.

• Strong Python skills and familiarity with SQL.

• Experience with LLMs such as LLama, OpenAI GPT, or similar.

• Proficient in frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Langchain, LLama Index, and Hugging Face.

• Solid understanding of Transformers, Text Embeddings, and GPT-based architectures.

• Familiarity with software engineering principles, Git, Azure, and Docker.

• Experience deploying and monitoring ML models in production environments.

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

• Available to work hybrid: 3 days in our office, 2 days from home (no fully remote).
